毛芽孢子菌病(Trichosporonosis)

毛芽孢子菌病是指毛芽孢子菌(Trichosporon)感染所引起的疾病，原本的毛芽孢子菌(Trichosporon beigelii又稱為Trichosporon cutaneum)目前被分為至少六種致病菌，頭髮的白砂毛(white piedra)由Trichosporon ovoides引起，陰部的白砂毛(white piedra)由Trichosporon  inkin引起，皮膚表淺性感染由Trichosporon  cutaneum及Trichosporon  asteroides引起，深部的感染則主要由Trichosporon  asahii，少數由Trichosporon  mucoides引起。免疫低下者，如愛滋病、中性球低下、心瓣膜手術、類固醇使用、留置性靜脈導管、嚴重燙傷、手術傷口，容易引起侵入性感染。
